Hakushu 25 Year Old A very rare, highly sought-after and truly fabulous peated Japanese whisky from Hakushu. This 25 year old single malt has picked up countless awards and rave reviews over the years, including the World’s Best Single Malt title on multiple occasions at the World Whiskies Awards. Still elegant, of course, this rare release nonetheless sees both the sherried and peated components of Hakushu dialed up.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose A smouldering, smoky nose with toffee apples, rancio, Armagnac, ginger and nutmeg.
Palate A rich, sherried palate with wood smoke, linseed, rhubarb and custard sweets, raspberries and walnut. A hint of spearmint develops.
Finish A long, herbal, nutty finish with bittersweet oak on the tail.
